Molly Caudery has set the highest pole vault mark of the year with a leap of 4.92 meters, breaking the British national record at the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting in Toulouse. This remarkable achievement also marks the best result in the event since 2021 and ranks as the seventh-best jump in history. The previous British record, held by Holly Bradshaw, stood at 4.90 meters and earned Bradshaw a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Breaking Boundaries Despite Adversity
Caudery secured her victory with a jump of 4.61 meters, but she continued to push the bar higher despite rainy conditions, ultimately achieving her record-breaking performance. French athlete Marie-Julie Bonnin took second place with a jump of 4.51 meters.
