Milwaukee Bucks Dominate Short-Handed 76ers in Season Opener [video]

Trefl Sopot Wins Second Straight in ORLEN Basket League

Milwaukee Bucks kicked off their NBA season with a convincing 124-109 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, thanks to standout performances from Damian Lillard, who scored 30 points, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who added 25 points and 14 rebounds. The 76ers, missing key players Joel Embiid and Paul George due to injuries, struggled to keep up after a competitive first half. By the third quarter, Milwaukee had established a 22-point lead and never looked back.

76ers Struggle Without Embiid and George

Despite Tyrese Maxey’s 25-point effort, the 76ers couldn’t overcome their depleted roster. The game was tightly contested until midway through the second quarter, when the Bucks pulled ahead. Lillard, in his Bucks debut, shined by sinking six three-pointers and contributing with nine rebounds and six assists, securing a strong start for Milwaukee in their quest to challenge the reigning Eastern Conference champions, Boston Celtics.

Suns Edge Clippers in Overtime Thriller

Elsewhere, the Phoenix Suns spoiled the LA Clippers’ debut in their new Intuit Dome with a thrilling 116-113 overtime victory. James Harden led the Clippers with 29 points and 12 rebounds but missed crucial shots in both regulation and overtime, while Kevin Durant’s 25 points and Bradley Beal’s 24 points helped lift the Suns to an early season win.
