Following a strong performance in the WTA tournament in Wuhan, where Magdalena Fręch reached the quarterfinals, the Polish player has withdrawn from the upcoming WTA 250 event in Osaka. Fręch impressed fans in China with victories over Emma Navarro and Beatriz Haddad Maia, before falling to world number one Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets.

Fręch’s Withdrawal and Replacement

Scheduled to face Camila Osorio in the first round of the Osaka tournament, Fręch announced her withdrawal on Monday. German player Eva Lys will replace her in the draw. Despite this setback, Fręch’s recent success has boosted her ranking, moving her up to 24th in the WTA standings.
