ŁKS Commercecon Łódź will begin their journey in the 2024/2025 CEV Cup this November, and their first challenge will be Spanish side Hidramar Gran Canaria. The matchup was confirmed after Hidramar failed to qualify for the CEV Champions League, losing to FC Porto in the qualification rounds.
Tough Competition Ahead for Łódzkie Wiewióry
The Polish side, nicknamed the „Łódzkie Wiewióry,” will aim to replicate their strong performances from the 2021/2022 CEV Cup, where they comfortably defeated Gran Canaria twice in straight sets. This time around, ŁKS will face the Spanish team first on the road, with the decisive return leg scheduled for November 13 in Łódź.
Gran Canaria’s Squad for the 2024/2025 Season
Hidramar Gran Canaria boasts a strong lineup for the upcoming season, with key players such as setter María Barrasa and middle blocker Lucrecia Castellano. They will be eager to challenge ŁKS as they seek redemption from their previous CEV Cup encounters.
With history on their side and a passionate home crowd awaiting, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź will be looking to advance to the next round and continue their strong start to the European competition.
