Dawid Szwarga Set to Become New Arka Gdynia Manager

Dawid Szwarga, currently assistant coach at Raków Częstochowa, is set to take over as the head coach of Arka Gdynia. The 33-year-old coach will officially assume his new role in December, replacing Tomasz Grzegorczyk, whose tenure will conclude after the last matches of this year’s PKO BP Ekstraklasa and Betclic 1 Liga. Szwarga’s contract will run until June 2026, with the option to extend.

Grzegorczyk’s Success and Smooth Transition

Grzegorczyk, who has been leading Arka since August 2024, managed to achieve success in all six of his matches in charge, a run that includes five league victories and one cup win. His efforts have allowed the club ample time to carefully choose his successor. Veljko Nikitović, Arka’s sporting director, emphasized the importance of continuity and praised Grzegorczyk for his contribution, ensuring that the current coaching staff will oversee the team until the December fixture against ŁKS Łódź.

New Chapter for Szwarga

Dawid Szwarga brings a wealth of experience from his time at Raków, where he assisted Marek Papszun in leading the team through the Ekstraklasa, Champions League qualifiers, and Europa League matches. Szwarga’s coaching career began in 2018 at GKS Katowice, and he has since earned his UEFA PRO license. Szwarga expressed excitement about the opportunity at Arka Gdynia, stating that the club’s development vision aligns with his goals and aspirations. His new role will officially begin in December, with Arka aiming for a return to the top tier of Polish football.
