The draw for the volleyball tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympics has placed Poland in a group with Brazil, Japan, and Kenya. This announcement came during the Women’s Volleyball Nations League finals in Bangkok.
Tournament Structure
The Olympic volleyball tournament, set to take place from July 27 to August 11, 2024, will feature a new format. Twelve teams will compete in three groups of four, with the top two from each group and the two best third-placed teams advancing to the quarterfinals.

- Brazil
- Japan
- Kenya

Poland’s Olympic Return
This will be the first Olympic appearance for the Polish women’s volleyball team in 16 years, with their last participation being in Beijing 2008, where they were eliminated in the group stage.
Group Analysis
Poland faces a challenging but intriguing group. While Brazil and Japan are formidable opponents, Kenya is not considered a top-tier team. A decisive win against Kenya could be crucial for Poland’s chances of advancing to the quarterfinals, potentially even securing a spot as one of the best third-placed teams.
