Barcelona Dominates Bayern: Raphinha Shines in a 4-1 Victory

Serbia's Filip Kostic Sidelined for Rest of EURO 2024

In a thrilling encounter, Barcelona wasted no time asserting their dominance. Within the first minute, Fermin Lopez set up Raphinha, who sprinted past Bayern’s defense, outmaneuvered goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, and scored the opening goal. Bayern responded aggressively, with Harry Kane having a goal disallowed for offside in the 10th minute. However, Kane found the back of the net properly eight minutes later, equalizing with a skillful finish from Serge Gnabry’s cross.

Lewandowski’s Historic Goal

Despite Bayern’s early control, their defense faltered, allowing Barcelona to retake the lead. In the 36th minute, Robert Lewandowski, playing against his former club, netted his 700th career goal after another assist from Lopez. Just before halftime, Raphinha struck again, this time with a powerful shot past Neuer, giving Barcelona a commanding 3-1 lead at the break.

Raphinha Seals the Win

Bayern missed a key opportunity early in the second half, with João Palhinha failing to score from a promising position. Barcelona, however, capitalized on their momentum. Raphinha completed his brilliant performance in the 56th minute, scoring his second goal of the night after receiving a pass from Lamine Yamal. Bayern’s spirits were crushed, and Barcelona comfortably saw out the match, nearly adding a fifth through Lewandowski late on.

Barcelona’s dominant display, led by Raphinha’s magic, sent a clear message to their European rivals.
