Ambitious Move: Jakub Kochanowski Joins Projekt Warszawa

Projekt Warszawa has officially announced the signing of Polish national team star Jakub Kochanowski. After three successful years with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, where he secured the CEV Cup in 2024, Kochanowski is set to bring his talents to the capital’s team, having signed a two-year contract.

Kochanowski’s Excitement and Ambitions

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter, Kochanowski stated, „I am joining an incredibly ambitious team that will compete for the highest goals in the upcoming season. I hope that together we will celebrate many successes on both the domestic and international stages. I eagerly await my debut in the capital’s colors,” he said, as quoted on the club’s official website.

A Strategic Acquisition for Projekt Warszawa

Piotr Gacek, the vice president and sports director of Projekt Warszawa, highlighted the significance of this acquisition. „Jakub Kochanowski is currently one of the best players in his position worldwide. At the age of 26, he already boasts extensive experience and numerous medals. This is a significant reinforcement for our team and another step in our long-term project of building top-level volleyball in Warsaw. With each season, we aim to present an even higher level at every organizational level,” Gacek commented.

Upcoming Challenges for Polish Volleyball

As league play doesn’t begin until September 13th, Kochanowski and his fellow Polish players are focused on their national team commitments. Currently, they are competing in the Nations League and will later participate in the Olympic Games in Paris, with broadcasts available on TVP.

This strategic move by Projekt Warszawa underscores their commitment to excellence and ambition in the realm of professional volleyball.
