In a thrilling encounter on Tuesday, October 22, Re-Plast Unia Oświęcim triumphed over GKS Tychy to claim their first-ever Polish Super Cup. The intense match, held at Hala Lodowa MOSiR, was decided in overtime with Christopher Liljewall scoring the game-winning goal for a 3-2 victory.

The game kicked off with Unia taking an early lead thanks to Sam Marklund’s goal just 87 seconds in. The first period ended with Oświęcim leading 1-0. In the second period, GKS Tychy equalized when Filip Komorski scored during a power play. However, Unia quickly regained their lead through a powerful shot from Carl Ackered, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

As the clock ticked down in the third period, Alan Łyszczarczyk netted a crucial goal for GKS Tychy, tying the game at 2-2 with just over two minutes left.
