In an intense 12th round of the TAURON Hokej Liga, GKS Tychy emerged victorious over Re-Plast Unia Oświęcim with a narrow 2-1 win on Sunday, October 13. This crucial victory propelled Tychy to the top of the league standings.

Unia Oświęcim, playing on their home ice, took an early lead thanks to a goal by captain Krystian Dziubiński in the first period. However, Tychy responded in the third period with a goal from Mathias Lehtonen, and just 30 seconds before the final whistle, Dominik Paś scored the game-winner to secure the victory for the visitors. Unia’s fans also witnessed the popular „Teddy Bear Toss” event, where fans threw plush toys onto the ice for charity.
