The battle for medals in the 200-meter butterfly was anticipated to be between the Chmielewski brothers and Kristof Milak. True to expectations, Milak took an early lead and maintained it to finish first, with a time of 1:55.65. Krzysztof Chmielewski closed the gap significantly, finishing just 0.06 seconds behind Milak with a time of 1:55.71. Michał Chmielewski completed the podium with a time of 1:55.51, celebrating a historic achievement alongside his brother.
Narrow Miss for Fiedkiewicz
In the women’s 50-meter freestyle, Kornelia Fiedkiewicz narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth with a time of 24.82 seconds. She was just three hundredths of a second behind Denmark’s Julie Kepp Jensen, who took bronze. The gold went to Hungary’s Petra Senanszky, who clocked in at 24.56 seconds.
